Imbolc

Hearthstone Grove welcomes you, your family, and friends to celebrate Imbolc and the coming of spring, a time we honor Bríd (Brigid) and her 3 functions, poet, smith, & healer, and ask her to grant us blessings in return! Join us at the fire for ritual, feast, and company among like minds and hearts. If you have corn dollies and/or crosses from last year, feel free to bring them to burn in ritual if you wish.

12:00 p.m. - Corn Dolly & Brid's Cross Demo
12:30 p.m. - Ritual
01:00 p.m. - Feast
03:00 p.m. - Clean-up


Corn Dolly / Bríd's Cross Demo:
Learn to craft your own corn dolly and/or 4 or 3-legged Bríd’s cross. We’ll sain and charge them in ritual so you may, hang them in your home, and receive Bríd’s blessings all year. Next Imbolc we'll make new ones and burn the old, starting the cycle over.

Feast: The last potluck-style feast of this cycle, before returning to shared meals. If you plan to participate, please comment below what potuck dish you're bringing to contribute to the table.
Wanna keep it traditional? Here are a few recommendations for Irish seasonal dishes!

Bannocks, apple cakes, dumplings, colcannon, cheese, and other foods made with eggs, root veggies, winter veggies; brussel sprouts, cabbage, greens etc, and winter fruits; pears, apples, squash, etc.


Things recommended to bring (optional):
Personal reusable plate/cup/utensils (if you're able)
Offering for the fire (Corn dolls, whiskey, herbs, butter, etc.)
Drum/ other hand instruments
Chair/ground cushion
